a creative journey in my own words

Hoppy Easter! March 23, 2008

Filed under: Kids — papermadejourney @ 4:28 pm

We were all up bright and early to see what the Easter Bunny brought us.I love watching the kids race around searching for Easter treats.Taylor was so excited to find some Eggs, she has been eagerly waiting for the eggs.I bought Taylor an Easter dress and will post some pics later today.I was hoping today would be Sunny and I could get some pictures of the kids together.Oh well, it is rainy and gloomy.Maybe the weather will smarten up later?

he32oz_swater.jpgIt is official. This laundry detergent has stolen my heart.I cannot merely get by with Tide any longer.Nothing can compare to the sweet smell of Method Sweet Water Detergent. The scent of this soap is like a slice of heaven.I don’t care if I am paying a couple more dollars, true love is worth it.If you have a HE Washing Machine give this a try:)

Who would have thought I would be posting about laundry soap.

Am I ever going to regret this in the morning.Staying up until 2:40 a.m. that is.Some of you might be able to guess…I am scrapbooking again. It appears my mojo is back AND has insomnia. But it feels soooo good.I have really missed having that time in my craft room and just playing. It is so relaxing and just for me time.I really need to get to bed. A LOT to do tomorrow and I work in the evening.Which means not enough hours in the day.Nighty night all.

The Year of the Vomit March 19, 2008

Filed under: Kids — papermadejourney @ 3:35 pm

I have decided to label this as the year of the Vomit.Due to the fact that I have never heard of so many people sick before.Evan was throwing up yesterday and is on the mend today.During those times I have to remind myself that I am the Mommy. When I saw what I needed to clean up, I wanted MY Mommy:)

P.S I apologize for the X’d out photo below. As you may have noticed I am still learning the ropes here. But you can click on the X and see the picture;)

So I decided to switch to a new Blog Hoster.I have been seeing a lot of WordPress blogs and decided to check it out.I kinda like not having to pay the $$$ to blog. We’ll see how it works. So far I like it.

Not much going on here.I am almost done with my class submissions and will post a picture when they are ready.

It is raining. When oh when will Spring make it’s Debut? I am sooo fed up with this weather.Bleh!

This,That and the Other Thing March 12, 2008

Today it finally felt like Spring is on our door step. Kids and I went for a walk to Costco Park. No, Costco didn’t build a Park. There is a park across the street from our local Costco and that is what the kids have named it.Costco Park.Just like Airplane Park–nope, no airplanes but it is across the street from the Langley Airport. We saw lots of bulbs popping up out of the soil. One thing I like about this neighbourhood is how easy it is to walk.We have shopping within walking distance and quite a few nice walking trails. The weather was also nice enough that the kids could play outside. There is nothing cuter than watching them play hide and seek.Taylor doesn’t know how to count so Evan has to really boot it to his hiding spot.Taylor also always sneaks peeks at where he is going, which makes her the winner most of the time. They are really becoming playmates and that is the sweetest thing.Well when they aren’t hitting each other.

Found a new song I like.Boy You Tube is addictive. Here it is..it is called "Shine" by Anna Nalick http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F5j59fBytQ

I think I may have overcome my freaky aversion to crafting.I have decided my intense fear of making anything really comes from my intense feeling that I have no creativity or ability in this crafty biz. This lack of self esteem I think comes from the need to people please.I have made the decision to start pleasing me first. If I like it, that is the most important thing.I think this new ‘tude is helping.I actually sat down and worked on my next class submission with no panic attacks.Progress me thinks.

I have noticed that I use the "random ramblings" category a lot when labeling my posts.Hmmm, does that mean I ramble a lot?

Can we fast forward to Friday at around 7p.m.?I finally made an appt. for a Cut and Colour.Nothing crazy just need to add some shape to my hair and cover some Grey strands.OK, probably more like Grey patches.I love getting my hair done.So relaxing and I have actually found a girl I like.

I am officially old school.I tried to figure out what would be a good theme for a teen-oriented class and had to ask an actual teenager.I am out of the loop.I mean I think I know what they would like, but I am probably wrong.I guess at 31 I need to face facts, I am getting old.

Is it wrong I am looking forward to Lipstick Jungle tomorrow night? Come on, NYC, fashion and drama and good looking people.I can’t be that crazy.

Enough rambling I better get to bed. Busy,Busy,Busy tomorrow:)

i love you mr.jacket March 8, 2008

I have a really tough time finding coats or jackets. There have been several instances in the store when I have stopped customers to ask them where they bought their jacket. They all have the same answer…Lululemon. Each woman has had the same jacket on, this one…

533

I really love this jacket. In real life it is perfectly cut so it doesn’t make the wearer look like a box or a marshmellow.I will own you one day soon Mr.Jacket!

If you have ever been to Lululemon’s website then you have probably read this…

Nice inspiring food for thought:)

I Love Spring March 8, 2008

Filed under: Random Ramblings — papermadejourney @ 1:25 am

I love this time of year. Not just because it means the end of consistent grey, damp weather. Not just because everywhere we look we will finally see colour, new leaves bursting forth, flowers blooming and good ‘ol sunshine.Spring also brings a chance for renewal in a personal sense.I can’t help but feel as though there are endless possibilities. The chance to improve our home,to learn and grow as an individual, finally achieve that goal weight, the possibilities are endless.

There are so many projects around the house to finish.Next week I need to get started on finishing the painting project I started. We also have so much work to do in the yard.It is a bare canvas and needs some life breathed into it.I get tired just thinking about all of this.
